ARIANNA ROSE

MUSICAL THEATRE AND VOICE

Arianna Rose is an award-winning musical theatre writer, playwright, director, college professor and long-time teaching artist. M.F.A., NYU Tisch School of the Arts; B.A. Theatre & Music, Bucknell University; BMI-Lehman Engel Musical Theatre Writing Workshop alumna; Certified Music Improvisation Instructor; Certified Camp Broadway Workshop Instructor. 

Her many teaching and writing credits include PBS, Disney, Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts, TADA! Childrens Theatre, Broward College, The Adrienne Arsht Center for the Performing Arts, Broward Center for the Performing Arts, Kravis Center Arts Camp, Miami Theatre Center, and the Metropolitan Opera Guild. She has taught children and adults for over 20 years in music, theatre, and visual arts. Arianna has directed musicals and straight plays for over thirty years in NYC, NJ, PA, FL, and MA. She offers private instruction in acting, voice, piano and audition prep. Her musicals, plays and songs have been produced in nineteen states and five countries. She is the 2020 recipient of the Kenneth Branagh Award for New Music Writing and her musical THE LOST GIRL with collaborator Ben Bonnema will be presented at the 2021 Florida Festival of New Musicals in Winter Park, FL. Her full-length play TOUCH THE MOON was selected for staged readings at Fantasy Theatre Factory in Miami, Florida and HRC Showcase Theatre in Hudson NY, and is a current finalist for the New Works Festival at the Garry Marshall Theatre in Los Angeles, CA. 

 Proud member of the Dramatists Guild, South Florida Theatre League, the Musician’s Union Local 802 and ASCAP. MAC Award Winner for Song of the Year. Arianna is a selected playwright in the 2019-2021 Playwright Development Program sponsored by Miami-Dade County Council of Cultural Affairs. She has devoted her life to the arts and to ‘passing it on’. A lyricist and librettist, she believes in the importance of text and passionately advocates her students and actors to become communicator and storyteller. Arianna works tirelessly with her students and actors to make discoveries and portray their characters with honesty, integrity, professionalism and to always honor the privilege of being on a stage. An NYC native, Arianna is thrilled to have relocated to Miami Beach and honored to be a part of the South Florida theatre community.
